CBS Cares~Care Packages Honestly Do Boost Troops Morale

THE CARE PACKAGES HONESTLY DO BOOST OUR MORALE

I would like to thank you on behalf of the 651st CASF for the care packages. Yesterday 24OCT2011 our staff began receiving their care packages from your wonderful organization. We truly are grateful for the donations that we receive. The care packages honestly do boost our morale. As always there are some personnel  who receive packages regularly;  however, we have many deployed personnel who do not and this has helped make everyone’s day. Thank you once again for what you do.  V/r, N. Y, SrA, USAF Aerospace Medical Technician 651 CASF, Camp Bastion

Pinger Conducts Fundraiser to Benefit Operation Gratitude

I'm always deeply appreciative of companies that show support for the troops and military families. My admiration stems from the simple fact that they do so out of the kindness of their hearts and because they want to--not because they have to.
One such supporter is Pinger -- a mobile app company that makes texting and talking free through their apps for IOS and Android.
About the Fundraiser
In honor of Veterans Day, beginning on November 1 and continuing through November 11, Pinger will donate $1 (up to $5,000 max) toOperation Gratitude for every new download of Pinger Textfree, Pinger Textfree with Voice, and for every new user that signs up for Pinger Textfree Web.
"We hear from military members who use our free texting and talking apps to stay in touch with loved ones back home," Greg Woock, Pinger co-founder and CEO said in a released statement. "We appreciate their service to the United States and their patronage of Pinger, so we wanted to give back. Operation Gratitude's mission to keep our troops connected to home is very much in line with our mission to keep communication open and free for everyone."
As a result of the fundraiser, the donated funds will be used by Operation Gratitude to pay for more than 330 care packages that'll be shipped to deployed troops in time for the holidays.
"We're excited to have this chance to work with Pinger--a company that supports free communication and gives our servicemembers an easy way to stay in touch with their spouses, children, parents, and friends," Carolyn Blashek, Operation Gratitude Founder and President said in a released statement. "With this donation, we'll further our goal to send even more care packages to deployed troops, something we view as instrumental in keeping them connected to those who support and care for them back home."

If you would like to help Pinger meet their fundraising goal, please visit their Web site for more information and to download:
  • Textfree with Voice, which is for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad
  • Textfree for Android
  • Textfree for iPad
  • Textfree Web, which gives users free unlimited texting from their computer
About Operation GratitudeOperation Gratitude is an amazing organization that works tirelessly to support the troops through their care package program. Between 2003 and now, they've sent 700,869 care packages to deployed servicemembers. Pretty awesome, huh?

{We Use Coupons- Helping Our Troops}

I'm so excited to share this with my reader and to announce that WeUseCoupons is officially partnering with "Operation Troop Aid " in February and March!!! Operation Troop Aid is going to be sending 1000 boxes to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq and is looking for help filling those boxes! Lacy and I are personally donating $10,000 in product but need tons of help to fill the rest of the boxes!!

Operation Troop Aid was started in 2005 by Mark Woods. Earlier in 2001, he was deployed on the USS Enterprise during the 9/11 attacks and watched with his shipmates as the second plane struck the World Trade Center. During that deployment before 9/11, Mark served as the coordinator for a concert on-board the USS Enterprise by Country Artist, Chad Brock. Soon after the attacks, Garth Brooks wanted to have a concert on their ship and Mark was assigned to coordinate that event. After that, Mark was inspired to use the entertainment initiatives for charity! Operational Troop Aid was born and Mark has worked tirelessly to send over one million dollars in care packages or product to the troops stationed overseas!

God works in mysterious ways sometimes. I found out about "Operation Troop Aid" from a cashier!! I was chatting with her in line about some charities we support and she told me about OTA; isn't that crazy!?!? I then called Mark and he has a Memphis, TN number but lives 20 minutes from me! I had lunch with him and am very excited to start helping his organization help our troops!
